Anambra State Governor Soludo, A Vocal Supporter Of Tinubu Denied VIP Entry On Inauguration

By NewsBits

The most vocal supporter of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidency in the Southeast, the governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo got a disgraceful reception at the inauguration of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President of Nigeria in Abuja today.

The governor, who arrived the Eagle Square clad in his APGA attire walked straight to the VIP section but he was not allowed to go into the VIP section, where the likes of Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan and other invited guests were seated.

The governor was stopped at the entrance and was not allowed to go into the VIP section despite explanation and he was directed to the popular side where other people were seated. The governor who was infuriated by the development retraced his step with annoyance, speaking in hush tones, and taking a look at the VIP side as he left the scene.

It is not clear if the governor left the inauguration immediately or chose to put up in areas reserved for members of the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC. Soludo wrote letters condemning his precursor, Peter Obi, that he won’t win the February 15 election and that he will never win to curry favour from Bola Tinubu, who he has since congratulated.

He has never said anything good about Peter Obi, whom many believed won the election. But the treatment he received today has gladdened the hearts of many Nigerians most of who think the ‘once upon a time respected CBN governor’ decided to go against his brother.
