At least three persons travelling to attend Monday handover ceremony in Abakaliki Ebonyi State capital have been killed. They died in a ghastly motor accident in which several others sustained various degrees of injury.
They were traveling in a bus when the accident occurred around Aguabata village in Izzi Local Government Area of the State. Details of the fatal accident was still hazy as at the time the of this report, but our source revealed that the vehicle was traveling from Izzi Local Government Area to Abakaliki.
Izzi is the home of the new governor Rt. Hon Francis Nwifuru. While the death if three persons were confirmed others injured in the accident have reportedly been moved to the Federalists Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki.
Some of the victims are said to be in critical condition. The swearing in ceremony which is happening across the country today is holding at the Pa Ngele Oruta Township stadium, Abakaliki.
