COVID-19 Cases Growing Faster, Now 10578 In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has just announced 416 new positive Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Nigeria, which now figures to 10578. This high number of additional positive cases is coming on a day the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 chaired by the Secretary to the State Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha said the PTF has President Muhammadu Buhari’s approval to relax of restriction and hand over the responsibility of the fight against the pandemic to the state governors across the country.

When we visited their official Twitter handle, which was updated as at 11:52p.m. on Monday June I, 2020, the NCDC recorded 416 new cases of COVID19 from across the different states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The update also showed that a total of 3122 patients have been discharged just a Nigeria recorded 299 deaths from COVID-19 complications.
