COVID-19: Nigeria Records 437 New Cases As Total Hits 46,577


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday August 9, 2020 announced a total of 437 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in the country. With the latest number of cases, Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country has now recorded a total of 46,577 confirmed cases so far.

The breakdown of the figure released by NCDC via its verified Twitter handle shows Lagos state leading the pack with 107 cases, while the Federal Capital Territory trailed with 91 cases. The release further showed that a total of 33, 186 persons have been discharged while the country has recorded 945 deaths so far.
