COVID-19: Nigeria Records 443 New Cases As Global Total Surpass 19 Million

On Friday August 7, 2020, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 443 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, bringing the total confirmed cases to 45,687. Out of the 45, 687 confirmed cases, 32,637 patients have been discharged, while 936 others could not make it alive, leaving Nigeria with 12, 114 active cases of the pandemic.

Meanwhile confirmed cases have reached a new peak worldwide, crossing over the 19 million mark. According to the Centre for Systems Science and Engineering, Johns Hopkins University, there are currently 19, 189, 737 confirmed cases, 716, 669 deaths, while 11, 611, 029 others have recovered from the pandemic.
