The Enugu state Commissioner for Transport and younger brother to Nigeria’s former Deputy Senate president, Chief Mathias Ekweremadu is dead. He slumped and died on Thursday at the hollow Chambers of the Enugu State House of Assembly while defending his ministry’s budget.
Prior to his appointment as Commissioner by Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the late Ekweremadu had served as a member of the state House of Assembly. He hails from Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State.
