Dijon goalkeeper Runar Alex Runarsson has trained with Arsenal after he finalised his £2million move to Arsenal. The north London club have turned to Ligue 1 side stopper Runarsson to bolster their goalkeeping department after selling Emiliano Martinez to Aston Villa for £20million.

The 25 years old Iceland international had underwent his medical in France before travelling to the capital to wrap up his switch to Emirates. Manager Mikel Arteta had told reports before his arrival that: “Obviously with the departure of Emi, which is a big loss and someone that I think we always want the best for what he has done for the football club and also the person he is, we have to replace him and we have been looking in the market and I think that we will shortly be in a position to announce our new signing. Runarsson became Arsenal’s latest summer addition after Willian, Gabriel and the returning Dani Ceballos while Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares also had their loan moves made permanent.
