Igbo Presidency 2023: Finally, Ohanaeze Responds To El-Rufai’s Attack On The Igbo

At long last, the Igbo socio-cultural organisation Ohanaeze NdiIgbo has responded to the unfortunate comments made by the Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, who was quoted to have said that Igbos will not produce the next president of the country in 2023.

Reacting to the statement the Secretary General of Ohanaeze NdiIgbo, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro described El-Rufai’s statement as ‘idiotic and laughable.’

According to him, Nigerians are aware of his El-Rufai’s activities as the “Idi Amin” of the north, whose interest is against the collective interest of the north.

“Igbos are not losing sleep over myopic views of El-Rufai. He is only pushing the selfishness of his few cabal and deceiving President Buhari. We urge El-Rufai to fix Kaduna State insecurity challenges before discussing the 2023 election.

South East is not alone in the secessionist movements. We have seen Oduduwa and Middle Belt ethnic groups displaying flags. “But for the sake of equity, fairness and justice, I think the best thing to do is to give the Igbos chance to produce the next president of the country.

If Igbos are allowed to produce the next president of the country, I think it will go a long way in fostering the unity of this country called Nigeria.
