NCDC Confirms 2, 950 COVID-19 Cases In Nigeria With 98 Deaths & 481 Discharged

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has released its statistics on the dreaded Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic that is ravaging the entire human race. The update, which the government agency that is leading the fight provided as at 11:40p.m. as at Tuesday May 5, 2020, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nigeria now stands at 2,950 people.

The centre also stated that an impressive number of 481 individuals have also been treated and discharged to reunite with their families having tested negative. On a sad note however, the NCDC reported that Nigeria’s COVID-19 death toll as at Tuesday May 5, has also risen to 98. With the ease of lockdown by the federal government in Lagos State, Ogun State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, there are fears from every quarters that Nigeria may witness a spike as most Nigerians appear not to understand how dangerous and devastating the virus is.
