Nigeria Records 239 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Now 54,247 As At September 1

On September 1, 2020, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 239 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, as confirmed cases are now 54,247. The NCDC made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Tuesday.

The NCDC, which is the government agency that is leading Nigeria in the ‘war’ against the dreaded disease said, “On the 1st of September 2020, 239 new confirmed cases and 10 deaths were recorded in Nigeria. Till date, 54247 cases have been confirmed, 42010 cases have been discharged and 1023 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.” The detailed list of the 239 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria as recorded in Nigeria are as follows:
