Nigeria records 627 New COVID-19 Positive Cases Total Now 15, 181

At 11:44p.m. on Friday June 12, 2020, on a day Nigeria marked its Democracy Day, new cases of COVID-19 continued to rise in Nigeria as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), announced an additional 627 new Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases.

With the new addition, the ttal case now 15, 181, with 4,891 discharged cases and 399 deaths. Lagos State, which remains the epicentre of the disease with 229 new cases recorded while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja and Abia State followed with 65 and 54 cases respectively.

Recall that both the NCDC and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 have cautioned people to take responsibility especially now that the Federal Government has passed the battle against the control of the virus to the state governors.
