Sad Sunday As Nigeria Airforce Jet Crashes In Abuja Killing Everyone Onboard

All seven passengers and crew died in the Nigerian Air Force jet NAF201, which crashed in Abuja on Sunday February 21, 2021

Reports reaching us has it that a Nigerian Air Force jet, with registration NAF201, with seven persons, including the crew members on board, has crashed in Abuja. The aircraft, a Beechcraft KingAir B350i, departed Abuja on Sunday in the morning before it crashed, killing all the persons on board.

The Nigerian Air Force in a statement by its Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, said, “This is to confirm that a Nigerian Air Force Beechcraft KingAir B350i aircraft crashed while returning to the Abuja Airport after reporting engine failure en-route Minna. First responders are at the scene. Sadly, all 7 personnel on board died in the crash.

“The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal I.O. Amao, has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident. While urging the general public to remain calm and await the outcome of investigation, the CAS, on behalf of all NAF personnel, commiserates with the families of the deceased.”
