With 315 New Cases On Monday, COVID-19 Now Stands At 12,801 In Nigeria

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday, announced 315 new cases of the spreading Coronavirus (COVID-19), which now brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 12,801. It further explained that till date, 12,801 cases have been confirmed, 8,400 cases are still active, 4040 cases have been discharged and 361 deaths have been recorded in 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

It would be recalled that both the NCDC and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 have cautioned people to take responsibility especially now that the Federal Government has passed the battle against the virus to the state governors. The latest update showed that Lagos State still recorded the highest figure with 128 infections, but no new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours. Announcing the confirmed cases on its Twitter handle on Monday June 8, at 11:41p.m. the NCDC said the 315 new cases of #COVID19 were recorded as follows:
