According to a report by Mail, Chelsea rebellious striker, Diego Costa, after a summer of solo work and refusing to return to Chelsea football club of England has finally got the chance to return to a normal working pattern. The Spain striker trained with his new Atletico Madrid team-mates for the first time after sealing his return to the club. Following a summer that involved a high-profile falling out with incumbent Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, and his exile from the first-team setup. Costa finally got his wish to rejoin his old club last week. Costa rejoined the team he left for Stamford Bridge in 2014 in a stunning £57.5m deal, bringing an end to the long-running transfer saga.
Atletico Madrid are currently under a FIFA transfer ban until January 2018 and as such, Costa cannot play for his new side until the New Year. But that has not stopped the Spanish international from getting involved in training. Having watched from the stands on Wednesday night as his old club scored a dramatic last-minute winner at the Wanda Metropolitana in Champions League, he looked in good spirits alongside his new colleagues on Friday.
Atletico travel to Leganes on Saturday in their final fixture before the international break. When they return in the middle of next month, Barcelona will lie in wait at their new home. Diego Simeone’s side have made a positive start to the new season, and lie second in the table. Barcelona, though, have already opened up a four-point gap at the top after winning their first six games.
