With May 29 fast approaching when President Muhammad Buhari would be sworn in for a second term in office, the President has continued with appointments of individuals into different agencies and organisations of the government. First was the reappointment of Mr. Godwin Emefiele as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), which has already been cleared by the Senate.
Earlier today, the Buhari also approved the appointment of Captain Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu as the new Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). A statement signed by James Odaudu, the Deputy Director Press and Public Affairs, Ministry of Transportation (Aviation), stated that Captain Yadudu is to take over from the erstwhile Managing Director, Engr. Saleh Dunoma, who has been the Managing director of the Authority since March 2014. The appointment, the statement added takes immediate effect.
An International Civil Aviation Organsation (ICAO/Airports Council International (ACI) accredited International Airport Professional, Yadudu was until his new appointment, the Director of Airport Operations of the authority. He also holds professional certifications in Avionics, Airport Safety Management Systems, Airport Security Management, Air Transport Systems Management, amongst others.
