As part of its annual tradition to ensure that its members switch from business to social mood in a while, the Advertisers’ Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) has announced that plans are underway to host another round of ADVAN Ignites, a networking/ mixer industry event.
Promising to treat its members to an entertaining and interactive evening to unwind, plan and chart new horizons for the association’s growth, the organisers stated that the event will also avail members the opportunity to build new business relationships and network through a stimulating conversation. This year’s ADVAN Ignites will be held on Wednesday April 19, 2023, at 6.00pm, at the Bedert Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
ADVAN promises that it is going to be a plethora of lively intellectual exchanges, and an evening to mix and mingle for its members and professionals in the integrated marketing communications landscape. It, therefore, urged its members to get ready for a memorable evening of cocktails, canapés, conversations, and networking all in a serene environment.
This year’s event will also feature other special activities for the evening, which includes the Inauguration of Nigerian Marketing Development Team and the Kick-off of the Nigerian Chapter of GARM (Global Alliance for Responsible Media).
Last year’s edition was held at the Blowfish Restaurant in Lagos, and tagged ‘ADVAN Ignites’: “A Networking / Mixer Event”. It was sponsored by Gordon’s London Dry Gin, providing attendees the opportunity to discuss, connect, and escape the popular axiom: all work and no play, makes brand custodians lazy marketers.
Speaking during the last year’s event, Osamede Uwubanmwen, President, ADVAN, said ADVAN Ignites was organised to help the ‘ever-busy’ brand enthusiasts to unwind, interact and navigate strategies that would propel the growth and success of the Association.
The sectoral group is the only trade association in Nigeria that represents the collective interests of ‘Advertisers’ (Multinational and Local organizations that engage the services of advertising and media agencies to promote their products and services).
ADVAN is a strong voice of 100 of the biggest organizations in Nigeria representing over 300 brands that control 90% of annual marketing and advertising spend in Nigeria. It is a member and on the Executive Council of the World Federation of Advertisers, a body of global brands and marketing associations in over 60 countries of the world.
