The Founder and Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN) the Very Rev Father Ejike Mbaka has disclosed that Nigeria is under a curse.

Fr. Mbaka said Nigeria is cursed with bad leadership, but he didn’t explain the reason for the curse, the year it was placed on Nigeria, how long it would last and the possible way to remove the curse.

Delivering his first sermon at the Adoration ground on Friday, Mbaka said God has blessed Nigeria with everything despite the curse. “Nigeria is blessed with everything, but cursed with bad leadership,” he said.

On his return from the monastery abroad, the priest said 2023 is a year of favour and prayed that his congregation would not labour in vain.

NewsBits recalls that the firebrand controversial Catholic priest was moved out of the Adoration ministry following his suspension after his political statements on the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

The Cleric had during his sermon last year at the Adoration Ministry described Peter Obi as “a very stingy man,” and added that he would not be able to win the election. The statement raised so much dust, which never settled down until the priest was suspended.

Following the wide condemnation that trailed his comment on the former Governor of Anambra State, Fr. Mbaka later made a U-turn, prayed for, and blessed Peter Obi.

The Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev Dr Callistus Onaga suspended Fr. Mbaka on June 3, 2022, due to some of his political comments.
