Again, 16 Precious Lives Lost To Suicide Bombers In Borno State

Sadly again, 16 persons have been reported killed last night (Sunday October 22, 2017) by suicide bombers who launched their evil attacks in two locations in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State. The detonated the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) that were strapped on their bodies.

The police authorities in the state through the Commissioner of Police, Mr. Damien Chukwu, while confirming the attacks, said the attacks happened at the notorious Muna garage area where many had been killed in the past by the suicide bombers, and at Muna Dalti. His statement said, “On 22-10-2017. Date at about 2020hrs, a male suicide bomber detonated IED strapped on him at Muna Garage killing himself and thirteen persons with five injured. In another development at Muna Dalti two female suicide bombers detonated same killing themselves and injured thirteen.”

Chukwu also confirmed that the injured persons had been conveyed to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) for treatment, while the corpses of the dead had been equally evacuated from the scenes of the attack. The police he said has also commenced investigations.
