Christian Leaders in 19 Northern States have met in Abuja to strategise on the next move ahead of 2023 general elections.

Being largely in the APC, the Northern Christians are clamouring for justice following their exclusion by their party in favour of a Northern Muslim as running mate to their Presidential Candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

In a Facebook post, former speaker, House of Reps, Yakubu Dogara said the meeting focused on a Pan-Nigerian platform to adopt ahead 2023.

Dogara’s post reads: “#NigeriaDecides2023- The Fight for Justice Continues. Today, we held a Consultative Meeting with Christian Leaders From the 19 Northern States and the FCT on the Pan-Nigerian Platform to Adopt in 2023”.

However, as at the time of filing this report, there’s no much details concerning the outcome of the meeting, although Northern Christians are believed to be “highly agitated, felt rejected and humiliated by the All Progressive Congress, APC, choice of a Northern Muslim thereby allianating them politically.”
