Residents of Enugu State on Friday ignored the sit-at-home order issued by Simon Ekpa’s autopilot Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as people were seen going about their normal businesses, even as some hoodlums attacked and burnt two vehicles.

The incident occurred at Eke-Obinagu in Enugu East local government area of Enugu State between 5:30am and 6:00am. SaharaReporters which visited the scenes of the attack along Enugu – Abakaliki road, observed that one of the burnt vehicles is a Sienna bus carrying vegetables and foodstuffs which was said to be coming from Eha-Amufu, while the other vehicle is a private car.

It was gathered that the Sienna bus carrying the vegetables was going to Ogbete main market where it was billed to be sold before the unfortunate attack. The Sienna bus was burnt close to Budget filing station while the car was burnt along Eke-Obinagu Akpuoga Road by Eke-Obinagu junction.

Meanwhile, business, and economic activities were going on in and around Enugu State metropolis. Filing stations were opened and various markets, shopping malls and small businesses were opened. Transport services which were usually affected during normal sit-at-home were carrying commuters to their different locations.
