Female Globus Bank Staff Commits Suicide Inside Office, Leaves Suicide Note Behind

It was tragic on Monday in the ever-bustling city of Lagos State as a 32-year-old marketing staff of Globus Bank, Amarachi Ugochukwu, was found dead at its branch in Ikorodu, Lagos.

The deceased NewsBits gathered was said to have died by on Monday, January 8, 2024, leaving a suicide note behind. A source said the late Ugochukwu’s lifeless body, and a bottle of Sniper insecticide were found in the staff toilet of the branch during the search for her whereabouts after she was discovered missing from her desk for an unusually long period.

It was further gathered that she had left her phone on her table, and the phone kept ringing repeatedly without answer. As a result, her colleagues started looking for her in the cause of searching for her and discovered that one of the office toilet doors was locked from behind.

Upon forcefully opening the door her motionless body with an empty medium-sized Snipper bottle suspected to have been taken by her was found beside, the source informed.

It was also gathered that the deceased left a note in a diary on her table before she allegedly took her life. She wrote what was described as a ‘suicide note’ in the said diary, it reads; “My decisions are wrong.

“My mind is messed up. The future doesn’t seem right at all; I see extreme hardship. I can’t bear the pain anymore.”

She wrote further, “I’m sorry, Mom; I am sorry, Dad. I’m sorry, Meme, Okwe, Toto Nazor, Chuchu, and Ifunanya. Lord, have mercy on me!”

Upon sighting her on the floor of the toilet, the management of the branch immediately called a medical doctor who confirmed her dead. However, the matter has been reported to the police in Ikorodu, and an investigation into the incident is said to have also commenced immediately.

Also, it was gathered that the police have removed the corpse and deposited it at Ikorodu General Hospital for autopsy and preservation. Her family has been informed of the tragic incident. Amarachi Ugochukwu is survived by her parents and siblings.
