Martial Arts Mega Cage Fight Championship Ends March 31 In Enugu

Enugu capital of Enugu State witnessed the first, biggest and most intense, terrifying and brutal Martial Arts Mega Cage Fight Championship, on Easter Sunday 31st March 2024, at the Base Landmark Event Centre, Independence Layout, Enugu.

International fighters from Kenya, Uganda, Senegal, and Congo came down to Enugu to fight for honours, in a Championship, sponsored by, I Tour Africa and Warrior Sports Championship in collaboration with Enugu State Ministry of Youth and Sports.

In the ferocious bout between Congolese Jerry Pambata aka Kimbo and Nigerian Ifeanyi Agoha. Tactically ruthless Jerry Pambata knocked out Ifeanyi Agoha in a turn around, after Ifeanyi Agoha who brought down his opponent and tried to pin him down in the first and second round lost the fight when he, Agoha got weak in the third round from kicks and punches from the Congolese.

In another intense fight, Senegalese Demba Seck knocked out Benue born Victor Doogu in the first round. Precious Okoh a Nigerian was beaten brutally by kenyan female fighter Felista Mugo in the second round of the fight. Nigeria’s image was redeemed by 26- year-old female Police officer, Juliet Uka, who,  defeated 27-year-old Ugandan female Police officer, Eunice  Akello, in the third round of the fight.

In another female category fight, Chika Njoku defeated her Nigerian counterpart, Ozioma Orji. Spectators who had gathered to watch the terrific but brutal fights routed for Nigerian fighters, who in most cases lost their bouts, the spectators who were disappointed, heaved a sigh of relief, when Juliet Ukah saved the face of Nigeria, by beating the Ugandan Eunie Akello.

Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu, commended the CEO of, I Tour Africa, Wilson Uche, for bringing the Championship to Enugu, noting that it was part of his efforts to improve and diversify sports in the State.

In a statement, the CEO of I Tour Africa, Mr Wilson Uche, who expressed happiness for the success of the Championship, noted that he brought international fighters to help improve and encourage Nigerian youths to embrace Martial Arts as a sport, and make a career from it.

The brawl which started some minutes after 10:00 pm ended in the early morning  of Monday Ist April 2024, was watched by Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Barrister Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu, Commissioner for Culture and Tourism Barrister Ugochi Madueke, the CEO  of I Tour Africa, Mr Wilson Uche and the Zonal Coordinator, National Sports Commission, Mrs Joy Ayi.

Other persons present include Prince Kenechukwu Ekweremadu, Chief Suprintendent of Police, Ebere Amaraizu. As well as Chief Operating Officer Bet9ja Enugu Office Mr Emeka Ofora, Mr Monday Diamond, Mr and Mrs Ilomuba among others.
