MD Bayelsa International Airport Congratulates Gov Douye Diri, Deputy On 3rd Anniversary

Describes Diri As The Political Compass Of Modern Democracy

The Managing Director of Bayelsa International Airport, Dr. Abraham Apereseimokumo Alfred, has on behalf of management and staff of the new airport congratulated the miracle Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri; his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on the milestone journey of their rewarding third year anniversary.

The Bayelsa airport chief, while declaring his appreciation with critical positive developments in the state since the coming of the governor and his team said that the Prosperity Administration led by Senator Diri has embarked on meaningful, impactful, and life touching projects that have consequently changed the development narratives of the state within just three years in office.

In a statement issued in Yenagoa at the weekend, the airport helmsman particularly commended Governor Diri for conscientiously running a government within his vision of ‘Shared Prosperity’ for the common good of the people of Bayelsa State, noting that the state has recorded some impressive ground-breaking feat within the three years of the Senator Diri-led Prosperity Administration.

The Airport Chief Executive Officer further averred that the indelible footprints of the Prosperity Administration in socio-economic development, infrastructural, human capital and capacity building can be empirically assessed from the various youth and women empowerment programmes successfully executed by the performing governor and his team. He described the governor as a ‘prosperity champion, and go-getter,’ whose core values in impactful governance has deepened democracy and democratic governance in Bayelsa State and the nation.

Dr Alfred noted that the unprecedented success  recorded from the completion of the three key senatorial road projects; completion of the second phase of the Glory Drive from Igbogene to Tombia-Amassoma Roads, the completion of dualization of the Isaac Boro Expressway; the redesign and upgrading of the Tombia Roundabout as well as the construction and rehabilitation of several internal roads in the state capital amongst several other projects are strong indicators of a government that has the interest of the people at heart.

The MD also recalled other signature projects commenced, completed and commissioned by the Prosperity Governor to include the remodelling, and completion of the Judges Quarters, the completion of an ultra-modern Transport Terminal, which is the first of its kind in Nigeria, the Health Insurance House, the Construction and completion of the New NYSC Orientation Camp in Boro Town, the installation and calibration of the Instrument Landing System (ILS) at the Bayelsa International Airport and many others.

While wishing Governor Diri and members of the Prosperity Team a successful and ground breaking third year anniversary, the Dr Alfred implored God to continue to protect the Bayelsa Governor and keep him in sound health and also help fill his heart with divine wisdom to successfully steer the winning Prosperity Ship to greater heights.
