Mustapha Adam Killed By Escapee Lion In Kaduna State

Reports reaching Newsbitsng.com has it that a zookeeper has died after a lion broke loose and mauled him in a popular Gamji Gate Amusement Park in Kaduna State in northern Nigeria. According to eye witness, the lion broke out of its cage in the popular Gamji Gate amusement park in Kaduna city, attacked and injured one Mustapha Adam in the neck who was rushed to the hospital where he died of the severe wound he sustained during the attack. He died in the early hours of Wednesday February 7, 2018.

Authorities said the lion was lured back into its cage after the attack. It is however the second time in six months that an escapee lion has killed a person in Nigeria. Recall that in September last year, a lion at Agodi Zoo in Ibadan, Oyo State killed one Hamzat Oyekunle. Reports then said Oyekunle was feeding the Lion when the sad incident happened. In 2015 also, another escapee Lion in the central city of Jos but was tranquilized and eventually killed before it could harm anybody.
