Nasarawa State Now Has It’s Share Of COVID-19 Case – Gov. Sule

Gradually, the ravaging Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is trying to eclipse the whole of Nigeria as the Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, has also announced that the state has recorded a confirmed a positive case of COVID19 disease in the state.

Sule broke the news this morning during a security meeting at the Government House in Lafia, the state capital. He said the index case in his state is lady from Garaku, in Kokona local government area of the state, who has tested positive to the dreaded disease that has caused the global community to shut down.

According to him, the lady, a trader who recently returned from Kano State had developed some signs and was taken into isolation before she tested positive. He said, “She is currently quarantined at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH), Lafia, where they have good facility for such victims, and she will be taken good care of.” The governor did not state if the hospital is one of those accredited by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) as well as the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 to handle incidences of the dreaded pandemic.
