Nigeria Records 296 New COVID-19 Cases As Total Rise To 53,317

On Thursday August 27, 2020 the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 296 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country. With the 296 new cases overall infection in Nigeria has risen to 53,317. The NCDC made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Thursday.

According to the NCDC, “On the 27th of August 2020, 296 new confirmed cases and 1 death were recorded in Nigeria. Till date, 53317 cases have been confirmed, 40726 cases have been discharged and 1011 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
