The Enugu State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council has commiserated with Solid 100.9FM, Enugu over the fire incident that burnt a part of the radio station this weekend.

The Campaign Council’s sympathies were conveyed in a statement by its Director of Communications and Spokesperson, Nana Ogbodo, after an assessment tour of the radio station on Saturday.

The PDP Campaign Council said: “We received with a rude shock and highest sense of empathy the news of the fire incident that gutted one of the studios in the Solid 100.9 FM Enugu premises. This is, no doubt, a significant loss to the station. We are, however , delighted that the setback has not interrupted transmission by the station as it continues to render priceless services to the people of Enugu and Nigeria as a whole”.

“On behalf of our governorship candidate, Dr. Peter Mbah, who is not in town at the moment, and our Campaign DG, Chief Ikeje Asogwa, I send our sympathies to the Board, Management, Staff, fans of the Solid 100.9 FM.”

The PDP Campaign Council advised the people of Enugu State and lovers of democracy to also pray and support the media outfit in these trying times.
