Wenger Not Happy With Arteta Over Goalkeeper Rotations At Arsenal

Arsene Wenger, a revered figure at Arsenal, has expressed his doubts about Mikel Arteta’s strategy of rotating goalkeepers.

Wenger who can be referred to as the man who grew the profile of the current day Arsenal team also said he preferred Aaron Ramsdale over David Raya.

Arsene who spent 22 years as Arsenal manager said, “Personally, I’m quite fond of Ramsdale. If I were in his shoes, I wouldn’t give up,” Wenger remarked. “I believe he has a genuine opportunity to reclaim his place in the team.”

When asked whether he believes Ramsdale is superior to Raya, Wenger responded, “Better… better… I can’t definitively say if he’s better. What I can say is that Ramsdale made crucial saves in matches last season. While there may have been concerns about his distribution and footwork, he made important saves.”

Wenger went on to share his perspective on goalkeeper rotation, saying, “I’m not a believer in rotating goalkeepers. I think it’s important to maintain a clear hierarchy when it comes to goalkeepers. Without that clarity, it’s challenging to achieve success.”
