Additional 436 New Infections In Nigeria On Sunday Total COVID-19 Cases Now 20,224

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday June 21, 2020 at 11:33p.m. recorded 436 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19). The latest update was posted on the NCDC’s Twitter handle. The new addition brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 20,244.

The NCDC also announced that a total of 6,879 patients have been discharged to reunite with their families just as the death toll as a result of complications from COVID-19 infection has also risen to 518. The high numbers are coming at a time the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 days back announced that the fight to curtail the dreaded disease have been handed over to the state governors.
