Kogi First Lady, Expresses Concern For Less Privileged

The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo has expressed concern for the plight of the less privileged in the society. Sefinat, a committed community leader, philanthropist per excellence, and a pillar in the advocacy for girl child education in Nigeria, made her feelings known in a statement made available to Our Correspondent.

She also drummed support for the empowerment of the women folk just like their male counterparts in order to boost gender equality in the state. According to the statement “Hajiya Sefinat Usman Ododo is the wife of the fifth executive governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo. She is the newest First Lady in Nigeria and an amiable mother to the people of Kogi State.

“Her Excellency, Hajiya Sefinat Usman Ododo, hails from the family of Mr and Mrs Sadiq in the ancient city of Okene, Kogi State. She is the youngest in the family and was born and brought up in Idoji, Okene city.

“She is a humble mother, a brilliant and successful businesswoman, and a visionary thinker who focuses on executing strategic policies that will have direct impact on the lives of the downtrodden”.
