Media Personality Nana Ogbodo Appointed Enugu PDP Campaign Spokesperson

As Nigeria and Nigerians prepare for the next year’s electioneering, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Enugu State has appointed a renowned media personality, Chief Nana Ogbodo as the public communications and campaigns Spokesman.

The Director of the State Campaign Council, Chief Ikeji Asogwa announced this at a press conference.

NewsBits learnt that Chief Nana Ogbodo is a notable historian, lawyer, public administrator, and communications consultant, as well as a seasoned media personality with rich experience in political communications.

Ogbodo, alongside his friend and colleague, the late Barrister Victor Mbah published the radical magazine, “Weekly Details,” with which the duo attacked what was regarded as the “excesses of the then Governor Chimaroke Nnamani government in Enugu State, particularly in terms of alleged human rights violation”

Chief Ogbodo is said to be particularly gifted with a rich oratorical flourish and often employs the instrumentality of his forensic orientation as a lawyer to intervene on varied socio-political issues that define political campaigns. Generally equipped with bold ideas, he is focused and creative – attributes essentially indispensable in political communications.

His career has traversed top notch intuitions including the National Maritime Authority (NMA, now NIMASA), where he served as adviser on communications; through various state governments including Nasarawa State where he consulted as a communication strategist. His rich experience was called to action in 2018/2019 when he served creditably as the Director of Communications for both the PDP and Governor Ugwuanyi’s re-election campaigns. His appointment, experts believe, promises an exciting season in an environment that has so far been without ennobling template and direction on issues that define the season.
