Yesterday, I attended the Christian wake-keep for the late Speaker of Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olufunminiyi Afuye. The occasion provided another opportunity for family and friends of the unassuming politician to reflect over his life of humility, sacrifice and selflessness. It was full of lessons and sober reflection.
For our sister, Mrs. Titilayo Afuye and the children, this is indeed a trying period but I have no doubt that our Lord Jesus will hold the family and give our brother eternal rest.
