Police Confirm Arrest Of 27 Suspects After Raiding Criminals’ Hideouts In Lagos

At least 27 criminal suspects were arrested by the operatives of the Raid Response Squad (RRS) in their hideouts in Agege and Oshodi areas of Lagos state. Rapid Response Squad is a special crime fight unit under the Lagos State Police Command.

The suspects were said to consist of 25 males and 2 females. A statement posted on the RRS official X handle, said the suspects were arrested at about 11:00 pm last week Thursday.

“Our operatives, acting on credible intelligence and extensive surveillance of some notorious hideouts in Agege and Oshodi, arrested 27 suspects in an effort to minimise crime. The suspects consist of 25 males and two females.

“They were arrested in Agege Under Bridge, Oke Koto, Akerele, Markaz, Tabon Tabon, and Oshodi, among others.” The Commander of the RRS, CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, noted that the squad is taking the fight to the criminals in their hideouts

He said the suspects would be charged to court in line with the directives of the Commissioner of Police Lagos, CP Adegoke Fayoade.
