Chief Peter Ozuma

The Action Alliance, AA has expressed fear that the government of President Bola Tinubu would worsen Nigeria’s sociopolitical and economic system. The party, through its Ebonyi State Chairman, Chief Peter Ozuma, stated this yesterday, while exchanging views with newsmen in his office at Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
Chief Ozuma said that on inception, the Tinubu-led administration introduced harsh policies which had brought untold hardship to Nigerians, leaving them hopeless, with cost of essential commodities going higher by the day.
According to him, “nobody is smiling under President Tinubu-led administration. His approach to addressing the sociopolitical and economic challenges facing Nigeria, has worsened the experience since the country’s Independence. The populace lives in a hopeless condition. It is obvious that Nigerians have lost confidence in this administration and its acclaimed Renewed Hope Agenda. The agenda is completely ironic, considering the rising cost of living and essential commodities in the country today.”
“Imagine the kind of harvest of deaths recorded during the yuletide in Oyo, Lagos, and Anambra States stampedes, because of which all of them were hunger-induced stampedes, resulting in worrisome deaths of innocent children, mothers and even fathers, who were breadwinners of many families. This is uncalled for and a clear indication that Tinubu’s government has soured,” the party chieftain lamented.
Chief Ozuma, however, commended Governor Francis Nwifuru, for wearing a human face to run his administration in Ebonyi State, inspite of the fact that he was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, which was considered an anti-democratic party in Nigeria.
He urged Governor Nwifuru to continue to run all-inclusive governance and strive to signpost his administration’s legacy projects in both human capital and infrastructure development, before the 2027 electioneering campaign period. Ozuma expressed hope, that the Action Alliance, AA, will wax stronger in the 2027 general elections, given the outcome of the recent local government elections in Rivers State.
He said, Ozuma said: “reading meaning from the outcome of the local government elections in Rivers State, where the party won one, out of the 23 local government areas in the state. I know the All People’s Party, APP won the 22 chairmanship positions instead of the ruling People’s Democratic Party PDP in the state. So, my party, the Action Alliance, can lead Ebonyi State and Nigeria in 2027.”
He disclosed that the Action Alliance, AA, has embarked on a strategic movement to form a formidable front ahead of the 2027 elections, adding that the party is prepared to ensure an excellent outing, come 2027.
