Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti has paid a condolence visit to the wives of the five soldiers, who were killed in Obikabia, Obingwa Local Government Area, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.
Governor Otti met with the young widows of the soldiers, who died in active service at 144 Battalion Asa, Ukwa West LGA. He was received on arrival by the Commander of 14 Brigade Ohafia, Nigeria Army, Brigadier General O. O. Diya. The Governor restated his commitment in fishing out the criminal elements who carried out the killings as he commiserated with the widows of the killed soldiers.
The Governor further assured them that Abia state has fully adopted them and will fend their welfare as he pledged full time scholarship for their children up to the university level and also gave them token.
