The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has advised Enugu residents and its neighbouring communities not to panic as they see aerial airplane displays. The colourful, and peaceful aerial airplane display with fireworks is part of the ongoing NAF 59th Anniversary Celebration in Enugu.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday in Enugu by Air Commodore Chukwuedo Illoh, the Chairman Organizing Committee for NAF 59th Anniversary Celebration, tagged: “Enugu 2023”.
Illoh urged the residents not to panic or fear seeing an aerial airplane display with fireworks on Friday, May 5; as the exercise would be performed at the highest safety standards. According to him, the aerial display would be done within the evening hours between 6.30pm and 7.00pm.
Iloh said: “As part of activities marking the 59th Anniversary Celebration of the Nigerian Air Force in Enugu, on Friday 5 May 2023, there will be an aerial display by the Global Star Aerobatics Team from 6:30pm to 7:00pm.
“During the aerial display, aircraft will deploy some fireworks as a mark of the celebration. The Nigerian Air Force wishes to inform members of the general public, particularly those residing in Enugu that the aerial display is a normal ceremonial exercise and nothing to fear. Members of the public are therefore urged to go about their routine daily activities.”
