Anyagbudike Vows To Tackle Youth Unemployment In Oji River As PDP Wins All 17 LGAs In Enugu

A former Managing Director of the Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA), Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike, who was at the weekend declared winner of the chairmanship election in Oji River local government area, has promised to tackle youth unemployment and facilitate socio-economic development of the local government by utilising the abundant human resources in the area.

Hon. Greg. Anyaegbudike along with the other 16 PDP chairmanship candidates overwhelming won majority votes cast by the electorate in their respective council areas on Saturday. The Chairman of Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission, ENSIEC, Prof. Christian Ngwu, who declared the results on Sunday, September 22, commended the Enugu state electorate for their peaceful disposition in the election.

Speaking to newsmen thereafter, the chairman-elect for Oji River local government, Hon. Greg. Amyaegbudike said that he would make youth empowerment his watchword. He stressed that those who are employable would be provided with jobs and others will be groomed on skills acquisition programmes.

His words, “I’ll make sure that the youth of Oji River are gainfully employed.  Those who are employable, will definitely get employed. Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike in his manifesto captioned, ‘It is all about Oji River’, also promised to develop a blueprint for the development of Oji River into a full-blown township, and develop agricultural and tourism potentials in the local government area, among others.
