Mr John Oyegun, APC Screening Committee Chairman
Only 13 out of the 23 candidates aspiring to become president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would take part in the primaries as the presidential screening committee of the APC on Friday disqualified 10 aspirants. The primary election is scheduled to hold next week between 6 to 8 of June.
Mr John Oyegun, the Chairman of the Committee, also disclose that although the careened all the aspirants, only 13 out of the 23 aspirants screened were cleared by the committee to take part in the forthcoming primaries but quickly added that the committee has submitted its report to the National Chairman of the party Adamu Abdulahi.
Oyegun who declined to disclose the names of the disqualified candidates and those that made the list however the committee did not screen former president Goodluck Jonathan unlike the rumours on social media.
