Bolt, Uber Drivers Expose Hypocrisy Of Abia Rep, Ikwechegh Who Assaulted Member

A picture of the disgraced member of the House of Representatives, Alex Ikwechegh waiting outside by the road for an Uber driver abroad has emerged as a contrast to his claim that Abuja Bolt driver he assaulted for calling him out to receive his delivery was disrespectful.

The picture of Alex Ikwechegh waiting for an Uber driver while abroad was posted by the Amalgamated Union of App-Based Transporters of Nigeria, AUATON. The union is leading an online campaign to bring Alex Ikwechegh, a member of the House of Representatives to account for the assault on the yet unnamed driver.

The federal lawmaker was seen in a viral video assaulting the Bolt driver, threatening that he could make the driver disappear and that not even the Inspector General of Police could do anything about him.

He said that he felt offended that the Bolt driver asked him to come out and pick up his delivery. Alex Ikwechegh said in the trending video that the Bolt driver was rude to have asked him to come out to pick up his delivery. He as such assaulted him even threatening to lock him up in his generator house. The action of the lawmaker has been drawing strong denunciation from every right-thinking sector of society.

Meanwhile, a post of Alex Ikwechegh standing on the road in a yet to be identified country waiting for an Uber driver has appeared on social media. The post went to show the hypocrisy of the lawmaker who would wait for an Uber driver on the road abroad while returning to Nigeria to assault a Nigerian Bolt driver for not kowtowing to him because he is a federal lawmaker.

The post was shared on Twitter by AUATON, which is actively creating social media awareness against the lawmaker. Many X users have gone on to further castigate the 44-year-old.
