Four political parties have won Ebonyi State House of Assembly seats in the just concluded elections in the State.
Results officially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) indicate that three opposition parties, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) the Labour Party (LP) and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) have won one seat each in the Ebonyi State House of Assembly election.
PDP candidate for Onicha West State Constituency, Charles Onu garnered 4506 votes to defeat his closest rival, China Ude a candidate of the APC, who got 3596 votes. Mrs Ikele Uzomaka, the APC candidate for Onicha East secured 2417 votes and lost to the candidate of the Labour Party, Celestine Ogba who polled a total of 4056 votes.
Similarly, the APC candidate for Ohaukwu North Constituency, Mrs Esther Agwu polled a total of 3426 votes to defeat her opponent and candidate of APGA, Mr Jeremiah Ekuma who secured 1204 votes.
The APC candidate for Ohaukwu South Constituency, Mr Chinedu Onah polled a total of 12,520 to be re-elected, defeating his opponent, Mr Obim Okechukwu of the PDP, who scored 6836 votes.
The APC candidate for Ezza South Constituency, Mr Friday Ogbuewu won with 8107 votes while his opponent, Mr Ifeanyi Nworie of the PDP, polled a total of 4986.
