Niger State Governor and Chairman North-Central States’ Governors’ Forum (NCSGF0 Abubakar Sani Bello, has paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Lapai, Alhaji Umar Bago III, over the death of his wife, Hajiya Lare Adama Umar Bago.
Gov. Sani Bello who was at the Emir’s Palace in Lapai, encouraged the Emir to remain steadfast in God knowing that the deceased lived a good life.
Former Governor of the State, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, who was also on condolence visit, said death is a test from God and that though it comes with pains, however, condolence visit of such help in reducing the pains of separation. According to him, death is a necessary end to all mortals and that “everyone has his own day, we will all go.”
Special prayers were offered for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for God to comfort the Emir and all the people of the Emirate. Late Hajiya Lare Adama Umar Bago, 60, died Friday, April 21, 2023, after a brief illness. She was survived by her husband the Emir, an aged mother, many children, and grandchildren.
