Gregory University Plan Launch Of Centre For Immigration Law Studies

From all indications, arrangements have been concluded for the inauguration of the Centre of Immigration Law Studies (CILS) in Gregory University Uturu.

Poised to be the first of its kind in Nigeria, Gregory University Uturu Centre for Immigration Law Studies is designed to provide sustainable, coordinated and continuing professional education, training, and capacity building for officers of the Nigeria Immigration Services on contemporary developments in migration management.

The university said the centre will organise professional workshops for officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service, while serving as a research centre that deploys conferences and seminars to explore and dissect key legal and policy issues on migration management. It is also envisaged that the centre will provide advisory services on immigration law and services. When functional, the centre will therefore be a key player in the task of formulating standard policies for migration management in Nigeria.
