Ondo State Security Network Agency known as Amotekun Corps has arrested a couple, Agbor and Mary John, and their two children for allegedly stealing bags of rice from an orphanage home in Akure, the state capital.
The corps also arrested 68 suspected criminals for allegedly committing various crimes across the state. Parading the suspects at the headquarters of the corps in Akure on Friday, the commander of the corps, Adetunji Adeleye said the family members were involved in stealing and house breaking.
Adeleye said, “We have arrested about 68 criminals, out of which we are parading only 20. We equally have three minors, which belong to a family of husband and wife and children that specialised in breaking houses and stealing. For obvious reasons, we are not going to parade the minors. They are aged between 12 and 15.”
Adeleye disclosed that a kidnap suspect, Usman Abubakar, was arrested at the point of collecting N2m ransom from the family of his victims.
