It was the legendry international Jamaican reggae music icon Winston Hubert McIntosh, OM (19 October 1944 – 11 September 1987), professionally known as Peter Tosh, who in one of his famouse songs sang “…If you leave in a glass house, you don’t throw stones…”
Popular singer, Burna Boy, and his senior colleague, Eedris Abdulkareem are at war, which may drag for a while if not put in check. And like Peter Tosh sang, these Nigerian musicians are throwing stones from their glass houses.
The fight actually started after Eedris Abdulkareem scolded Burna Boy over his claim that no one helped him in the Nigeria music industry. Eedris has always believed that no man is an island and found it difficult to understand how a fellow musician will boldly claim that nobody helped him.
But rather than Burna Boy moving on, he lunched a vicious attack on Eedris, in a reaction when he (Burna Boy) took to social media and lambasted Abdulkareem.
He wrote: “Abdul Kareem Abi wetin dem dey call your papa, I no blame you. I blame people wey donate money for your hospital bills. And I wish say you be person wey fit dey enter the kind places wey I dey dey, make we use mistake jam.”
In further reaction, Eedris Abdulkareem in his response wrote: “Yup, they contributed money for my hospital bills, and I am perfectly healthy now, but I don’t think any contribution can save your sperm from reproducing.”
The drama has gone personal and the entertainment industry awaits what would further happen between these two music stars who like to express themselves without fear.
