Nigeria First Lady, Tinubu Arrives Imo Ahead Of FUTO Honourary Award

Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, yesterday arrived Imo State ahead of her honorary award, today by the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO).

Speaking during a reception at the Eze Imo palace Mrs Remi Tinubu said she was looking forward to “that great Nigeria, and is just by the conner”, declaring that next year (2025) will be a year of multiple growth.

Tinubu tasked parents to train their children and wards, in a way that they will be able to think out of the box, to be able to take advantage of opportunities being opened up as a result of the economic reform policies of the federal government.

The First Lady stressed that she is always happy whenever she visits Imo, thanking the government and people of the state for their warm reception.

She used the opportunity to appreciate the traditional rulers, government and people of the state for the support given to her husband, during the 2023 Presidential election, which led to his emergence as President.

Speaking during the reception, Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma sent his appreciation to the President, through the First Lady, for all the support he has shown to the state, in the areas of interventions and palliatives.

Uzodimma said the First Lady has shown special love for the people of Imo State, and more especially, for him and his wife, urging her to continue in her footsteps, even as the governor disclosed that in his over 40 years in politics, he has never seen a First Lady as generous as Remy Tinubu.

The governor expressed the willingness of his government to continue to partner with the First Lady to do more for Nigerians, especially women and youths.
