The weekend of Friday May 29, 2020 arrived with some sad story from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) who yet gain confirmed 387 new cases of the rampaging Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nigeria. Their latest update came as at 11:46p.m.
According to a tweet on their official Twitter handle, the NCDC on Friday night, Lagos State still leads the pack with 254 cases, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja recorded 29 cases, Jigawa State had 24 cases, Edo State recorded 22 cases, Oyo State recorded 15 cases, Rivers State recorded 14 cases and Kaduna State had eleven cases and so on.
The new additions bring the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 9302 with 2697 patients discharged, and 261 deaths recorded. The NCDC gave the full breakdown of the new 387 cases of COVID19 as follows:
