The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has appointed Marketing Edge as its media partner for the upcoming 2024 Nigeria Public Relations Week. The one-week event will take place at the historic city of Abeokuta, Ogun State, from 22nd to the 26th of April 2024.
In a letter addressed to Marketing Edge, Mr. Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, the National Planning Committee Chairman, extended the invitation on behalf of the NIPR Governing Council and the National Planning Committee of the Nigeria Public Relations Week 2024.
Highlighting the significance of the partnership, the letter emphasized the event’s objective to provide a platform for engagement with key stakeholders in the public relations industry, policymakers, government officials, and professionals.
Described as the largest gathering of its kind, the Nigeria Public Relations Week aims to facilitate dialogue, foster trust among stakeholders, and explore strategies to advance the nation’s growth agenda.
The conference will center around four thematic areas aligned with the overarching theme, “Leveraging Public Relations as a Critical Asset for Nigeria’s Economic and Reputation Renaissance.”
The statement further emphasized the importance of Marketing Edge’s role in driving economic growth and development, expressing confidence in their collaboration and participation as an Official Media Partner for the event.
Accepting the appointment of the national body of NIPR through a statement, Publisher/CEO of Marketing Edge, Mr. John Ajayi, said the leading IMC publication is glad to be so honoured and recognized on this all important event. He stated that the avant-garde marketing and advertising magazine is delighted to witness a new paradigm shift in leadership at NIPR due to the assumption of office of a more vibrant and visionary leaders at the helm.
He observed that some years past, the NIPR national body has been unusually quiet and less active as it ought to be. This, he noted, has made some members and young practitioners to become lukewarm and inactive.
“Now that the new leadership under the dynamic and visionary executive led by Dr. Ike Neliaku has been put in place, programmes and activities like the forthcoming event cannot but excite practitioners and members as well as the general public. We shall definitely do everything possible to support the initiative,” Ajayi pledged.
The publisher also commended the appointment of the MD/CEO of CMC-Connect, Mr. Yomi Badejo-Okusanya as the chairman of the National Planning Committee for the all important one-week P.R event. He observed that Yomi Badejo-Okusanya a former President of Federation of African Public Relations Associations (FAPRA) is a goal getter will leave no stone unturned in making the event a huge success.
