A female nurse, who works at the Agbani General Hospital, Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, has been kidnapped. This development came about two weeks after a notable businessman (a vehicle importer) was kidnapped in the same area.
The nurse, who also operates a chemist shop around the Agbani Court Area was said to have been taken away from her shop Wednesday evening. Identified simply as Ebele, she was reportedly kidnapped at about 7:30am on Wednesday, October 5, 2023.
Reports say security situation in Agbani and its environs has not improved so far, thereby, causing fear and anxiety among residents. Lecturers of the administrative staff of Enugu State University (ESUT), are now programmed to spend few hours on campus to avoid being attacked, just as students are also on edge as insecurity continue to spread to neighbouring communities in the state.
