The death has occurred of Deaconess Esther Oligwe Ogbonnia (Nee Uzoagbala), the mother of the National Publicity Secretary of Ohanaeze Ndigbo World-wide, Dr Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia.
In a brief statement issued on behalf of the family, to reporters in Enugu, Dr Ogbonnia stated that the late Woman of God, transited to eternity at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, Ituku, Enugu on Saturday, November 2, at the age of 88.
The statement read: “Deaconess Esther Oligwe Ogbonnia (Nee Uzoagbala) has joined the Saints Triumphant @88. Her transition occurred at the UNTH, Enugu on Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was highly endowed and exceptional in the faith.
“She is blessed with: The Rt. Hon. Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, PhD; SKC Ogbonnia, PhD; Ọzọ Clifford Ogbonnia; Ozo Obi-Jackson Ogbonnia; Chief Mrs Francisca Okafor; Miss Eyiuche Ogbonnia; and Ọzọ Olisa Uzoagbala Ogbonnia; grandchildren and great grandchildren. The funeral arrangements will be announced later. Dr. Chiedozie Alex Ogbonnia, for the family.”
