On Wednesday September 2, 2020, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed additional 216 new cases of the dreaded coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country. With the latest addition, confirmed cases have now risen to 54,463. The NCDC made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov on Wednesday.
The NCDC reports that of the 54,463 confirmed cases of the coronavirus as reported on Wednesday, 42,439 cases have so far been discharged while the nation has also recorded a total of 1,027 deaths. The 216 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria as recorded by the NCDC from across the states are as follows:
